Some things are worth slowing down for. The fabric your skin meets every night is one of them.
Santorissi is made from two cloths, and only two. Both are woven in Italy by Martinelli Ginetto, a mill perfecting its craft since 1947. MONET is a 100% MicroModal. SMERALDO is a sateen of 100% long-staple Egyptian cotton. We chose them the way you choose what to sleep in: slowly, and by touch.
MONET
Modal is a botanic fibre, spun from the pulp of beechwood. The "micro" means exceptionally fine threads. They give the cloth its liquid drape and quiet, natural sheen.
Against the skin it feels cool and soft. It breathes and draws moisture away, so the night stays comfortable. It stays soft, wash after wash.
At 110 g/m² in a satin weave, the cloth has weight and a subtle lustre. Its smooth surface means less friction, gentle on skin and hair.
SMERALDO
A sateen of 100% Egyptian cotton, prized for its long staple. Longer fibres spin into a finer, smoother, stronger thread that is less prone to pilling. In the sateen weave more of each thread rests on the surface: smooth to the touch, with a soft, low sheen. Softer than percale. More breathable than polyester satin.
Thread count 300, 100 g/m². A natural fibre that breathes and absorbs moisture. Cotton as you know it, only smoother and quieter.
It is the cloth of our cotton collections: Pietra e Cenere, three greys of stone and ash, and Terra Bruciata, three warm earths of sand and clay.
Choose it if you sleep warm and love a cloth with a fluid drape.

Both cloths are woven on a 305 cm loom, so even our largest covers fall without a central seam. A detail you feel, not just see. Every piece is then cut and sewn by hand in Trakai, Lithuania.
Both fabrics carry OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification: independently tested for harmful substances.
