The colour

Sabbia secca is a pale warm sand, the tone of clay walls after a long summer. It lightens a room the way white does, without the glare. The lightest colour in Terra Bruciata. The three colours of Terra Bruciata were chosen to sit together: a fitted sheet or extra pillowcases in a second shade finish the bed.

The fabric

SMERALDO by Martinelli Ginetto, a mill weaving in Italy since 1947: 100% cotton sateen, thread count 300, 100 g/m². Sateen puts more thread on the surface than percale, so it feels smoother and slightly cooler, with a soft sheen instead of a crisp matte finish. It creases less than percale and softens with every wash.

The cloth is woven 305 cm wide, so every duvet cover in this set is one piece with no seam across the bed. The fabric is woven in Italy; each piece is cut and sewn in Trakai, Lithuania.

Care

Machine wash warm on a gentle cycle, with similar colours. No bleach. Tumble dry low or line dry. A medium iron gives a crisp finish.
